The VO2 max refers to the maximum rate of oxygen the body consumes during exercise. A high VO2 max indicates better fitness and a longer predicted lifespan. In contrast, a low VO2 max is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
Please note all VO2 Max tests will be completed on the Wattbike, if you would like a VO2 Max on the treadmill this would be an evening appointment (after 5pm) or on the weekends.
Book NowPrior to the test, one of our sport scientists will conduct a short interview with you to determine your current activity level and outline any areas of interest. Under the care of our specialists, you will be fitted with a state-of-the-art respiratory mask to analyse the composition of the air you inhale and exhale. The test involves a steady increase in the speed of a treadmill or exercise bike until you are too tired to continue exercising at maximum effort.
